Tips for Applicants

Test tip

"I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed". –Michael Jordan

Story telling.

"How does your family keep track of the stories of previous generations?
If your family has a way of passing down the stories, I'd love to hear
about it. -Kate"

To do list.

" Whether you carefully plan every task in a Getting Things Done list or scribble reminders to yourself on the back of an envelope, your goal is the same: You've got stuff that needs doing and you're trying to get yourself organized enough to do it. With a task management system that works for you, you'll get more done with less frustration, fewer missed deadlines, and greater overall work satisfaction. That's something you should rely upon."

Application tip

The Mentoring Challenge starts again in January.

If you are recently post college, possibly post MBA, but not yet mid career (35+), you can mentor our young ones. Help them shape their futures.

Mid and late career?
You can mentor our pre and post MBA students. You'll discuss handpicked business cases once a month. Expect to spend 2 hours total prep+meeting time monthly as a mentor.

Want to be mentored by someone in your field who can give you practical, tactical advice and help you think more clearly? It may not sound sexy, but it's what you need if you want to master your field. Also accepting mentorees for the next cycle.

Mentorees can expect to spend 10-12 hours a month in preparation for their meeting with the Mentor. All Mentors have either been a student of mine or their children have been. You will be matched and your cases chosen by me personally to extract the best lessons out of mentor and mentoree. Send me an email if you are interested or know someone who would benefit from this process.
