Hi Kate,
I am planning on applying for a M.Sc. in Marketing Management at SDA Bocconi and I would like to know if my GMAT score of 610 (Q35/V39) could be sufficient.
I am fluent in 4 languages (German, English, Spanish and French) and throughout my undergrad years (currently in senior year) I have gained experience in marketing (internships, projects and being a member of a marketing association). Until now I’ve had good grades, it’s hard to determine a GPA, because I’ve studied one year in Spain, one year in France and one year in San Jose, California (GPA 3,9) and grading systems are different everywhere.
I know that the average score for Bocconi is a 650, but I cannot find out if that applies to all programs (MBA, finance, marketing, etc.) and to all kinds of students (Italian, international, etc.).
I’d appreciate any kind of information or advice. Thanks a lot in advance!
Kind regards,
Franzi

Hi Franzi,
In my (limited) experience with Bocconi, they are much more forgiving with the GMAT score. But they are usually more forgiving for candidates who have a higher quant scaled score than the verbal. You are the opposite. It also sounds like you are young and relatively inexperienced.
Those are two negatives for your profile. It may still be possible to be admitted, but I wonder if it is the best thing for you to do now. Might you get more out of the MBA if you apply/test the knowledge you’ve gained so far?
Good luck!
