Not too young to decide, but may be too young to act if you are claimed as a dependent or your parents are controlling your course of funds.
Can you make money on your own?
Can you Take care of yourself physically?
Do you have high or low risk aversion?
If you don’t understand your risk profile, take a pysch risk profile – not the shabby one financial institutions offer, but an in-depth one. If you are risk averse, factor that into your plans. You’ll need to stay in safer neighborhoods, be able to earn enough to keep food on the table, etc. If you have low risk aversion (as in you are risk seeking) you can probably get away with living by the shirt on your back.
To thine own self be true.
