Working at a Venture Capital firm is one of those jobs that there is a lot more demand than there is supply. So while having an internship is not necessarily a prerequisite, it certainly doesn’t hurt. Not only does it immerse you in the world of a venture capitalist so you can start speaking their language, it will also give you key contacts down the road. Networking is very important when the time comes to start looking for that job.
