Is it possible to work from home, and work as an Actuary?

It is possible to work from home and work as an Actuary. Many financial, insurance, banking, or pension firms would not likely allow an entry-level employee or intern to work from home, given the influx of candidates, but once qualified, there are many actuarial positions that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
