Is there a large market for registered representatives, who work in the personal wealth management field?
The market varies depending upon if you choose to work as an individual or with a large firm. Working at a large firm, you will see that the market for registered representatives is a greater and much larger market than those working as a personal assistant for individuals. Everyone needs someone to help with their finances, so I would say that there is a more of a larger market in need for representatives than a small need.
Financial Advisors have begun to take on more responsibility when it comes to wealth management. In the past Financial Advisors would actually conduct the transactions for their clients, which is were a Registered Representative came into play.
However, Financial Advisors are now more prone to dispense advice rather than conduct transactions. So Registered Representatives are no longer in as much of need as before.
