Where is cybercrime really coming from? | Caleb Barlow

Everybody thinks or feels that being on the computer is a safer way to store records instead of having physical copies. They feel the physical copies can be stolen easier and do have a password. However, cybercrime is one of top crimes committed on a daily basis. It is becoming to easy for people to hack into certain things. The man in the video talks about how we need to cautious with our cyber info like we are our health care info. Cybercrime stole over 2 Billion records in 2016 which is a lot of money.

Key Takeaways:

  • Cybercrime is out of control, and is only getting worse.
  • A problematic aspect of cybercrime is that this is insidious, and it takes months to even detect.
  • Most cybercrime does not come from nation-states, as the news teaches. They are mostly from cyber-gangs.

“Security expert Caleb Barlow calls out the insufficiency of our current strategies to protect our data. His solution?
